The cities

Suva (capital of Fiji) and Nadi (the location of the international airport in Fiji) are replete with many opportunities for shopping, eating out and the night life.

Fiji is also known as a tropical party place. Many of the hotels offer live bands, dancing and traditional Fijian gatherings with live entertainment called 'meke'. In Suva you will find many restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, theaters and many more places to see and do things at night.

Sightseeing

As Fiji is largely a flat island with only a few hills, sightseeing is restricted mainly to natural beautiful phenomena. One popular place is Tavarua beach, a paradise for surfers but also for people watching the daredevils in the titanic waves.

Trekking and hiking through Fiji is a very popular activity and gives beautiful views of the jungles and volcanoes.

Fijian wildlife includes fruit bats, parrots and marine turtles. Acres and acres of endless orchids are also a popular feature of Fiji as are coconut and banana palm trees.

Tours of the coral reefs in glass bottom boats are also a very memorable feature of Fiji.
